Abstract: An ultra wide band pattern antenna with rhombus fractal geometry has been proposed in this paper. In order to enhance the gain and directivity of the antenna, Meta material iss placed in the ground plane. The effect of the meta material on the overall performance of the rhombic patch is also presented in this paper. The design and analysis of the proposed fractal antenna is carried by using CST Microwave Studio 2015 and MATLAB R2014b. The measured antenna characteristics such as gain and directivity of the proposed antennas are found well matched to the simulated results.
