Abstract: The project “PLACEMS” is being aimed at developing a website for the placement cell of the colleges. The website is a cloud based application which can be accessed and used via several technologies across various platforms. An admin-user based login system has been provided to assist the work for all including the students and the authorized personnel. This system forms a basic structure of an application which can be used by the placement cell in an institute to manage the student information regarding the required personal information or professional information, according to placement. Placement administration signing in will be able to upload the required information of the students in the form of tables to be stored. The details of all the students are managed within the system itself. The process of placement management becomes very time efficient and consumes less paperwork. Apart from the management process, students will also be able to trace their academic records and the system will be able predict the probability of the student of being placed in a specific company.
