Abstract: This paper presents a series of load-deflection tests on bimetallic beams in order to develop a load – deflection model for bimetallic beam with under thermal loading condition. The proposed model is based on analysis of a series of Finite element analysis generated models. a total of 8 beams of length 5000mm and 100m height is tested under thermal loading from 1000C to 4000C.The results are noted for each computation. The main objective of this investigation is to propose an empirical model which predicts the deflection of the bimetallic beam for a given temperature. Finally a model is proposed and it is validated using finite element analysis.
