Abstract: This paper presents an ultrawide band planar monopole antenna in MIMO configuration. Initially a single element is constructed, composed of a bull-shaped monopole patch with three vertical (horn-like) stubs, tapered feed and partial ground plane. After that, two antenna system is used in the MIMO configuration. The simulated results in Computer Simulation Tool (CST) software show that antenna in MIMO configuration achieves S11, S12<-10dB over the wide bandwidth ranging from 3.1GHz to 10.6 GHz. Hence, the proposed antenna can be utilized over the unlicensed range in MIMO configuration for various applications. The simulated antenna is fabricated using FR4 substrate (Ɛ≈4.3) and the size of the antenna is 65mm*30mm*0.8mm.
